Q: What information do you need from me in order to do a Bond?
A: The name of the person locked up, the jail, and the bond amount

Q: What are the requirements for posting a bond?
A: Requirements are based on the amount of the bond. Standard requirements are a stable job, stable residence

Q: How much does it cost to post bond for someone?
A: The fee is 10% of the bond plus a $25.00 execution fee. Remember that financing is available on large bonds

Q: When can a bond be done?
A: Most jails allow bonding 24 hours

Q: When I bond someone out, what exactly am I responsible for?
A: You are responsible for making sure that the individual makes all scheduled court dates

Q: What happens if someone I bonded out does not go to court?
A: We then start an investigation from our Fugitive Recovery Dept. to find the person

Q: What if your Fugitive Recovery Dept. does not find the individual?
A: If we are unable to locate the individual within 60 days, then the amount of the bond is due

Q: How long am I responsible for the bond?
A: You are responsible for as long as the case goes on, till a verdict is rendered

Q: What if the person is found guilty?
A: The verdict does not matter, we are only guaranteeing that the individual will be in court

Q: How do I know when the person is suppose to appear in court?
A: When the person is bonded out the next court date is given then, any court dates after that can be checked by going to www.courts.state.va.us for any future dates

Q: What if I think the person I bonded out is not going to go to court?
A: Contact us and we will arrest the individual and return him to the custody of the jail
